The Facts You Need to Know About Collagen

What is all the hype over collagen? Do you take Collagen? What kind should you take? I hope this blog will help you decide if you are sitting on the proverbial fence.

Here we go...Collagen is a protein found in the human body and is essential for maintaining healthy skin, hair, nails, bones and joints.

Collagen supplements are becoming very popular and come in various forms such as powder and liquid.

Liquid collagen is easily absorbed into the body and typically made from hydrolyzed collagen which is broken down making it more bioavailable for the body to use.  Liquid collagen comes premixed and is easily consumable in small doses.

Powder collagen comes in a dry form.  It needs to be mixed into drinks or food.  Powder collagen supplements may come in a variety of flavours for you to consume and do have a longer shelf life.

Benefits of collagen

Personally, I am a huge fan of the liquid, if I am going to take something I want to reap the rewards of it as best as I can.  I have been taking a product called Liquid BioCell for over a year now and I have seen significant improvements since starting...it's crazy!

Here is a bit of a comparison to show you the difference in how Liquid BioCell compares to what you might be taking...

So, what kind of collagen do you take?

Bovine is a derived collagen that comes from cow parts.  The left-over parts if you know what I mean...Yikes!! Parts of the cow that contain collagen, like the hair, skin and hooves.  They are ground up to make a collagen substance.
*Liquid BioCell is pure extracted collagen!
Marine derived collagen is only type 1 collagen, which is beneficial for skin but not the whole body.
*Liquid BioCell is extracted as type 2 but synthesizes in the body as ALL 3 types of collagens.  Great for skin, hair, joints, and connective tissue!
Most powdered collagens show a clinical efficacy at 10 - 20 grams.
*Liquid BioCell shows clinical efficacy at 1.5 - 2 grams!
Most collagens on the market are made up of hydrolyzed collagen.  But a complete collagen (like what your body's tissue contains) is made up of collagen, hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate.
*Liquid BioCell contains all 3 in the exact same ratio as our body!
Many collagens claim to "reduce the appearance of wrinkles" because of their lack of clinical trials.
*Liquid BioCell can "reduce wrinkles" with pages and pages of clinical studies to back it up.
Powder Collagens have a 20 - 25% absorption rate.
*Liquid BioCell has a 93 - 98% absorption rate!

The Benefits of Powder Collagen...

Versatillity - Powder collagen can be added to a variety of drinks and food, making it an easy option for those who prefer to mix their supplements.
More flavours - Powder collagen often comes in different flavours, making it more enjoyable to comsume than a liquid collagen.
Longer shelf life - Powder collagen usually has a longer shelf life than liquid.
Cost effective - Powder collagen is often more cost-effective than liquid collagen, especially when purchased in larger quantities.

The Benefits Of Liquid Collagen...

High Bioavalability - Liquid collagen is more easily absorbed by the body than a powder collagen, making it more effective.
Convenience - Liquid collagen is already premixed and ready to consume.
Improved Hydration - Liquid collagen often contains additional ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, which helps to improve skins hydration and elasticity.
Improved Digestion - Liquid collagen is already pre-digested, making it easier for people with digestive issues to consume.

So, ultimately the decision is yours, liquid collagen has more health  benefits that will be felt by the body much quicker than a powder.  Liquid BioCell is the only collagen on the market that mimics our bodies natural collagen production, and it presently holds 7 international patents.  This is a collagen that is serious about making a difference in our lives.

Trust me, if you want results, these things matter! And again, if you are going to take a product why not take one that is going to give you the best results.  If you have any questions about Liquid BioCell or as I like to call it Liquid Gold, then please feel free to reach out to me, I would love to help you make an informed decision.

This is a great FAQ on the types of Collagen. I have been taking the Biocell for 6 years and as a 54 year old woman I feel like I’m in my 30’s. Aileen I have noticed a difference in your skin and your confidence over the last year! I think you are a fabulous woman xo
